INCLEMENT WEATHER POLICY
During inclement weather, a decision must be made regarding the status of our campus being open or closed. On school days, we will follow the McKinney Independent School District (MISD) decision as was the case today. On other days, parish leadership will make the decision by assessing both current campus conditions and the projected weather forecast. We will keep you updated by email,

when things continue to change.
FAST, PRAY, GIVE
These are the three disciplines of Lent that we are asked to practice even more than usual this season. Below are some ideas and resources to help you as we begin these 40 days.
What are you giving up for Lent?
This is a common question this week, and it's a good one. Many people give up chocolate and other sweets or fast from social media. Some take on good habits like an hour in adoration once a week or stations of the cross every Friday. All these things are good and are meant to help direct our minds and hearts to God. So if you haven't decided yet, set aside some time to pray about it and ask God what He may have in mind for you.
Adoration is offered in the Chapel Thursday and Friday from 9 am-8 pm. It is a great time for personal prayer in the presence of Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament.
Communal prayer opportunities during
Adoration from 7-8 pm
: Holy Hour of Reparation (sponsored by the
Sacred Heart Ministry
: Praise & Worship
: Chaplet of Divine Mercy
: Scriptural Rosary
Please be aware that these hours are not silent prayer.
DEVOTIONS & PRAYER MINISTRIES
There are many beautiful devotions and ministries available at St. Gabriel. These include the
Holy Spirit Prayer Group

LFP Wish List
We celebrate the FIRST SUNDAY OF LENT this weekend. Can you believe it? What a week we had in preparation for this holy season. We know many of you struggled without heat and power, and now some are experiencing broken pipes and flooding. As we hear about Jesus going out in the wilderness and being tempted by the devil in the gospel this Sunday, our visions of the desert may change from hot and sandy to frigid and ice-covered. Whatever our desert is, the Lord walks through it with us.
We are praying for everyone and here to help. We're also thankful for the many parishioners who have reached out to offer assistance. We will get through this and we will continue to give God glory.
