FROM THE PASTOR
My dear parishioners,
This weekend is the 25
anniversary of the first regular Mass celebrated at St. Gabriel. We owe a huge debt of gratitude to the founding families that got everything started. They banded together to petition the diocese for a new parish to begin in west McKinney. They took the initiative to invite everyone in the area to attend the new Catholic community. They followed the promptings of the Spirit and really lived the Great Commission of Jesus to go out and make disciples. God blessed their efforts and the little community grew into the spiritual home we enjoy today.
We will be celebrating our Silver Anniversary at all Masses this weekend followed by a simple reception. Please come and join us in thanking God for the gift of our community, united in the hope of Christ.
God bless you all,

CAMP FUSION WAS A BLAST!!
St Gabriel was a buzz of excitement last week with our middle school and high school youth attending the annual Camp Fusion summer camp. Check out the video below to see some of the action!
Our youth programs are a great way for the young church to grow in their faith and meet others doing the same.
Registration for our youth and children ministries begins in August (adults too!).
We would love for your kids of ALL ages to get involved, grow in their relationship with God, and make friends at St. Gabriel. Find out more about our ministries below

We hope to see you at Mass this weekend. We will welcome our new parochial vicar, Fr. Bartholemew and say goodbye to our summer seminarian, Eugene. It's been a month of changes, but we thank God for all His good gifts. We will also celebrate the past 25 years of being a parish family.
Also, you may have heard that
Bishop Burns has restored the obligation to attend Sunday Mass and Holy Days of Obligation beginning August 15. You can read more about it
Have a blessed weekend.
