Are you civilly married with no impediments but want your marriage to be approved or “blessed” by the Catholic church? St. Gabriel will be hosting a Convalidation Session on the steps required to make that happen. We will meet on Sunday, September 12 at 12:30 pm in the St. Joseph Room. The ceremony that constitutes the marriage as a true sacramental union is called a Convalidation. Because of the number of variables involved in Convalidation situations each Convalidation case is unique. If you have questions, or to register, please e-mail Pam Criss,

PRAY FOR FIRST RESPONDERS, MILITARY, AND THEIR FAMILIES
Considering the recent events in Afghanistan and the 20th anniversary of 9/11, we want to cover our First Responders, Veterans, Military, and their families in prayer. We invite you to add the names of anyone you know in those respective groups to our Parish prayer book which is in the Chapel Narthex.
We celebrate the 23rd Sunday in Ordinary Time this weekend as well as Labor Day. Did you know the right to work and the dignity of workers is one of the tenets of Catholic Social Teaching? It is! You can learn more
We pray you each have a safe and fruitful holiday weekend. The parish office will be closed on Monday, Sep. 6 for Labor Day, but we will still have noon Mass. Speaking of work, St Gabriel was
voted the best place to work by the McKinney Courier-Gazette
. All of the staff believe that to be absolutely correct because we work for and with the BEST parishioners. We can't wait to worship with you this weekend.
